I received a callback this morning and hung up feeling disappointed. I was basically advised to call back after getting an MRI that show tumors. It was very clear their focus was only on whether a tumor shows up on my brain and what value that might bring to the case. That may be how the legal world works, and I get it — I’m the daughter of an attorney, so I understand lawyers want to make smart choices and choose clients who will bring maximum case value and maximum returns. Plus, i am 98% certain they receive a lot of calls like mine every day so the treatment I did get was not shocking - what was insulting is how blunt and obvious they let it be known that my presence to them is directly related to how much the attorney feels my case is worth. SMHBut none of that excuses poor client service. While the paralegal was not rude, she was cold and distant. I felt like I was being graded as she tried to capture a fraction of what I said, put me on hold, repeated a tiny piece to the attorney, and came back with a flat “call us back if you get an MRI and there are tumors.” There was no emotion, no acknowledgment of my primary harm — the permanent infertility and loss of motherhood — which is the side effect that bothers me most about this whole thing and the primary motivation for why I even care enough to pick up the phone in the first place.At the end of the day, I didn’t feel like a person whose pain mattered; it felt like i was a number in a value assessment. I realize they’re not free therapists and I didn’t just call to vent about my struggles. They specifically advertise medical liability litigation as a specialty, so I expected at least empathy and authentic, genuine care from the start — even though the answer was ultimately, “We’re so sorry, but without imaging proof of a tumor, we cannot take your case.” Instead, what I got was dead cold. The message was clear: “Call us back when you’re of value to us — when you have an MRI showing a tumor. Until then, thank you and have a nice day.”BECAUSE THEN LADIES & GENTLEMEN at that point, i’ll be worthy - i’ll have tangible evidence they can use, and BIB-bih-dee … BAH-bih-dee … BOO! I have monetary value and Im good enough to associate with them and give them my business.AGAIN, no one was deliberately trying to hurt me or offend me. I just thought id review and let them know they’re no frills approach saves them time but it will lose them so much more. The young lady that initially called me - the phone operator that i knew was only calling to confirm contact info had more bedside manner - i remember her name cant recall the paralegal that called me back sparking this review to save my life. Just saying…..Keep it up Shay! How you treat people is everything even it doesn’t seem that way in the moment.

My experience in being involved in an accident with an 18 wheeler that ran through a 4 way stop intersection and totaled my truck was, dont wait around on insurances to string you along to just end up with a very small settlement.
